Three Musketeers Movie in 3D

Director Paul W.S. Anderson (who brought the Resident Evil movies) is working on the Three Musketeers, a new 3D movie adaptation of the novel of the same name by French writer Alexandre Dumas. The cast of the Three Musketeers includes Milla Jovovich, Orlando Bloom, Logan Lerman, Christopher Waltz, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfayden, Luke Evans and Mads Mikkelsen. Shooting will start in August 2010 in Europe. The Three Musketeers movie is scheduled to be released on April, 15, 2011.

Actor Mads Mikkelsen said about the film:

"I think it will be lighthearted. The script is very close to the original that we remember. It's very charming. It’s funny and very lighthearted."

Director Paul W.S. Anderson revealed a bit more later on:

"We are definitely modernizing 'The Three Musketeers' without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece. But in our film, corsets and feathered hats don't take center stage. Our version is rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure."

Isn't Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) a bit too young to play as D'Artagnan? Well, he's talented, and I guess the script integrates his young age.

I guess that with this re-imagining, Director Paul W.S. Anderson will do for the Three Musketeers what Guy Ritchie successfully did for Sherlock Holmes, and it won't that difficult with such an impressive cast. I bet the Three Musketeers will be a great movie
